Department – Therapy Access & Advocacy Department

We are looking for a Haemoglobinopathy Access Specialist to join our Therapy Access & Advocacy department at Novo Nordisk. The position


As a Haemoglobinopathy Access Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting individuals and families affected by haemoglobinopathies by providing access to comprehensive care, resources, and support services tailored to their specific needs, you will also have the following responsibilities:


  • Build and expand the business and customer base for Novo Nordisk by identifying and mapping key stakeholders in each account.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the account ecosystem and establish strong relationships with KOLs, administrators, nurses, educators, and purchase officers.
  • Interpret current physician referral patterns and trends to optimize access to Novo Nordisk products.
  • Communicate the benefits of Novo Nordisk’s portfolio to stakeholders and tailor solutions based on their needs.
  • Collaborate with the Institution team in headquarters (Marketing, Medical, Market Access, etc.) to drive initiatives and projects.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with physicians and medical staff from referring hospitals to ensure understanding and close projects.
  • Organize and lead activities such as CME, PEP, and patient awareness initiatives in state hospitals, Initiate & lead Patient Awareness initiatives e.g. camps, HCP-PwO interaction, etc  & Build relationship with advocacy group.
  • Ensure compliance with reporting procedures, tour programs, and other necessary approvals.
  • Ability to manage diverse scientific community, build advocacy, upskilling through medico-marketing initiatives.

Qualifications


To be successful in this role, we are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or sciences (PG in Social work preferred but not required).
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a minimum of 2-3 years working in the Institution Business.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Adept at problem-solving and selling products.
  • Participate in internal / external review meetings and governance (as applicable).
