Job Description

Job Title: HR/Commercial Officer


Department: Human Resources / Commercial Operations


Location: Trichy


Reports To: HR Manager / Commercial Manager


Job Summary:

As an HR/Commercial Officer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and executing human resources and commercial operations. Your responsibilities encompass recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management, employee relations, ensuring compliance with employment law, administering compensation and benefits, and managing payroll and HR systems. You will serve as a key liaison between management and employees, ensuring smooth commercial operations and fostering a productive work environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Recruitment and Selection:


    • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding.
    • Ensure that staffing needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  2. Training and Development:


    • Identify training needs and organize training programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training and development initiatives.
  3. Performance Management:


    • Implement performance review processes and work with management to ensure fair and effective performance evaluations.
    • Address performance issues and provide constructive feedback to employees.
  4. Employee Relations:


    • Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and queries.
    • Promote a positive work environment and resolve conflicts or grievances.
  5. Employment Law and Compliance:


    • Ensure that HR practices comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
    • Stay updated with changes in employment legislation and implement necessary policy adjustments.
  6. Compensation and Benefits Administration:


    • Oversee the administration of employee compensation and benefits programs.
    • Ensure that compensation and benefits are competitive and comply with legal requirements.
  7. Payroll & HR Systems:


    • Manage payroll processing and ensure accuracy in salary disbursement.
    • Maintain HR systems, ensuring that employee data is accurate and secure.
  8. HR/Commercial Reporting and Documentation:


    • Prepare regular reports on HR metrics and commercial operations.
    • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date employee records and documentation.

RequirementsEssential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, CIPD) is advantageous.
