Roles & Responsibilities:
- Architect end-to-end OCI network solutions — multi-region hub-and-spoke, mesh, and flat topologies aligned to enterprise scalability, HA, and DR requirements.
Design and implement hybrid cloud connectivity using Fast Connect (dedicated/partner), Site-to-Site VPN, and multicloud peering (OCI AWS Transit Gateway, Azure ExpressRoute).
Design and provision enterprise-grade OCI Landing Zones using the CD3 (Cloud Deployment and Delivery Diagrams) Excel-based automation toolkit — covering compartments, VCNs, subnets, route tables, security lists, NSGs, DRG, gateways, and IAM policies etc.
Provision FastConnect Virtual Circuits, design BGP peering configurations for FastConnect Virtual Circuits — configure private peering (RFC 1918) and public peering ASNs, BGP MD5 authentication, MED attributes, AS-PATH prepending, and local preference for traffic engineering.
Design and deploy OCI Load Balancer as a Service (LBaaS) Layer 7 Flexible Load Balancer and Layer 4 Network Load Balancer for web, application, and database tier traffic distribution.
OCI Routing architecture & route table management - Design VCN route tables for each subnet define route rules with destination CIDRs, configure DRG v2 route tables, design & deploy multi-VCN hub-and-spoke topologies.
Deploy and configure OCI Network Firewall, define and enforce zero-trust network architecture micro-segmentation, NSG policy-as-code, WAF rulesets, and DDoS mitigation strategies at scale.
Lead capacity planning, bandwidth modeling, and traffic engineering to ensure sub-millisecond latency SLAs across global OCI regions.
Drive network-as-code initiatives author and maintain Terraform modules, Python automation scripts, and CI/CD pipelines for network provisioning and drift detection.
Serve as the technical authority in design reviews, architecture boards, and RFP/RFI responses mentor mid-level engineers and define network engineering standards.
Own network observability design logging, monitoring (OCI Network Monitoring, VCN Flow Logs, ONS), and runbook frameworks for proactive incident management.
Collaborate with security, DevOps, and application teams to embed networking guardrails into landing zones, cloud governance frameworks, and SDLC processes.
Produce HLD/LLD documentation, RACIs, network reference architectures, and cost optimization analyses as deliverables for internal and client stakeholders.
Additional Information:
10+ years of progressive network engineering and architecture experience, with at least 5 years in OCI (preferred) or equivalent hyperscaler cloud networking at enterprise scale.
