Job Summary


Synechron is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer specializing in cloud automation, container orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines. In this role, you will design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions across multiple cloud platforms, automate deployment processes, and optimize system performance. Your work will enable the organization to deliver reliable, cost-efficient, and secure applications while fostering innovation and operational excellence through automation and modern infrastructure practices.

Overall Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with product owners and engineering teams to develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules and automation workflows


  • Build, manage, and optimize application deployment pipelines to ensure continuous integration and delivery


  • Design and deploy scalable cloud infrastructure across platforms, ensuring efficient resource utilization and cost control


  • Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure high availability and performance of applications


  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues independently and proactively


  • Lead and advocate for cloud-based best practices, security, and automation standards


  • Support cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects, ensuring timely and quality deliveries


  • Interpret architectural decisions, provide guidance on infrastructure impacts, and implement necessary improvements

  • Experience in infrastructure cost optimization and performance tuning


  • Alternative qualifications include extensive project leadership in relevant fields or cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer)


Day-to-Day Activities


  • Develop, test, and maintain Infrastructure as Code modules using Terraform, Helm, and other automation tools


  • Create, optimize, and monitor CI/CD pipelines for various applications using GitLab and CloudFormation


  • Deploy and manage containerized applications within Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability and performance


  • Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues


  • Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve incidents


  • Conduct security reviews and implement best practices to protect cloud and infrastructure assets


  • Participate in planning sessions, ensuring infrastructure solutions align with organizational and project goals


  • Provide technical mentorship and support to team members and cross-functional stakeholders


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent professional experience considered


  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or Terraform Associate preferred


  • Ongoing professional development through training and certifications in cloud, DevOps, and automation topics
