Luxoft is expanding its Appian team in India, and we're looking for enthusiastic junior developers to join high-caliber project teams serving our reputed global clientele. You'll work on digital transformation initiatives - designing and delivering process automation solutions using the Appian platform's modern capabilities including Data Fabric, AI-powered decision-making, Records-first architecture, and connected integrations. You'll collaborate with experienced engineers across domains like Energy, BFSI, Healthcare, and Supply Chain, gaining hands-on exposure to real-world automation challenges at scale. Responsibilities You'll work on the entire delivery lifecycle from whiteboard to production. Key Responsibilities include: Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into Appian application designs Design and build process models, SAIL interfaces, records, expression rules, and integrations Develop, test, deploy, and maintain Appian applications including enhancements to existing apps built for our enterprise clients Integrate Appian with third-party systems via Web APIs, connected systems, and document management platforms Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and QA engineers in Agile delivery teams Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes Follow Appian best practices for performance, security, and maintainability You won't just write code — you'll shape how business processes run. Skills Must have Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field from an accredited institution. Appian Development (0-3 years) : Hands-on experience building applications using process models, SAIL interfaces, CDTs, records, and expression rules. Good to have completed at least 1 end-to-end Appian implementation. SAIL / Interfaces: Ability to design responsive, user-friendly interfaces using SAIL components, including grids, forms, dynamic layouts, and record views. Process Modeling: Proficiency in designing and configuring process models with gateways, sub-processes, timers, and error handling. Records & Data Fabric: Understanding of the Records-first design pattern and Appian's Data Fabric for connecting, managing, and surfacing data without traditional ETL. Integrations (Web APIs / Connected Systems): Experience integrating Appian with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, HTTP connected systems, and integration objects. SQL & Databases: Working knowledge of relational databases; ability to write and optimize SQL queries, design data stores, and manage CDTs. Expression Rules & Decision Objects: Ability to write reusable expression rules and configure decision objects for business logic. Deployment & Environment Management: Familiarity with Appian's compare-and-deploy, import/export packages, and managing applications across Dev/Test/Prod environments. Nice to have Appian Certifications: Appian Associate or Senior Developer certification is a plus. Agile / Scrum Methodology: Experience working in Agile teams with sprints, standups, retrospectives, and iterative delivery. Appian AI / Intelligent Document Processing (IDP): Exposure to Appian AI capabilities including AI Skill for document extraction, classification, or AI-assisted decision-making. Portals (External-Facing Apps): Experience building Appian Portals to deliver external-user-facing applications without requiring Appian licenses. Process Mining / Process Insights: Awareness of Appian's process mining capabilities for analyzing and optimizing business processes. RPA Integration: Awareness of integrating Appian with RPA tools (Appian RPA or third-party bots) for end-to-end automation. Scripting (JavaScript / Groovy): Basic scripting skills useful for custom plugins, data transformations, or supporting connected systems.
