Job description

At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, 80,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in Life Cycle Cost (LCC) analysis and management to a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative, innovative, and dedicated team of professionals.

You’ll help shape the future of sustainable mobility by driving cost-efficient, high-quality solutions for our services projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including Rolling Stock, Bid Managers, Project Managers, Sourcing, and Engineering teams, to ensure alignment with project goals, manage LCC risks, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

You’ll specifically take care of developing and maintaining LCC models and tools, as well as facilitating LCC reviews, but also ensuring compliance with international standards and Alstom procedures.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Developing and maintaining LCC models and tools aligned with corporate standards

  • Documenting and implementing business processes for LCC variance analysis and reporting

  • Facilitating regular LCC reviews and providing auditable change control

  • Preparing LCC models for SPR submissions and modeling options/variations

  • Managing risks and identifying savings related to LCC

  • Collaborating with Quality and SQA teams on CONQ identification and capture

  • Analyzing data to propose improvement strategies for fleet and engineering departments

  • Promoting the use of standard LCC practices compliant with international standards

  • Ensuring continuous improvement through data capitalization

  • Engineering University Degree or equivalent qualification/experience

  • Experience in LSA processes, standards, and tools

  • Direct customer interfacing experience

  • Working-level proficiency in English (additional languages are a plus)

  • Experience working in diverse and international environments

  • Knowledge in Rolling Stock/D&IS Engineering and Maintenance, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or RAMS Engineering

  • Familiarity with project management

Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines

  • Work with new security standards for rail signalling

  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues

  • Contribute to innovative projects

  • Utilise our dynamic and flexible working environment

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries

  • Progress towards roles such as LSA Senior Engineer or LSA Project Lead Engineer

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
