The Data Platform Team architects, develops, and maintains Dyson’s data backbone. We specialise in building advanced SQL-based solutions, robust ETL pipelines, and managing seamless data movement across both legacy and cutting-edge systems. From daily data operations to strategic migrations, our team keeps Dyson’s data accurate, fast, and reliable for business users around the world.



Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, design, and maintain complex SQL solutions for ETL, data integration, and migration projects.
  • Build and optimise SSIS packages and manage SAP BODS jobs for enterprise-scale data operations.
  • Oversee end-to-end migration activities, including data profiling, mapping, SQL query optimisation, testing, and go-live support.
  • Working knowledge of using tools like Fivetran and Google Cloud Composer.
  • Work closely with business and IT teams to translate integration and reporting requirements into SQL and ETL solutions.
  • Leverage Google BigQuery, Dbt and SAP Datasphere for cloud-based analytics and advanced data integration.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune SQL queries and ETL workflows for maximum efficiency and accuracy.
  • Document processes and enforce data quality, governance, and security standards throughout all data activities.
  • Mentor and support a team of data engineers, championing best practices in SQL, ETL, and data management.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • K6–7 years of hands-on experience working with SQL Server (T-SQL), ETL development, and large-scale data migrations.
  • Deep experience designing, tuning, and troubleshooting SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft SSIS, SAP BODS, and data migration tools and frameworks.
  • Practical skills with data integration and orchestration platforms such as Fivetran and Google Cloud Composer.
  • Experience with Google BigQuery for advanced analytics and data warehousing.
  • Familiarity with SAP Datasphere and SAP data integration.
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver complex SQL and data migration projects.
  • Comprehensive understanding of data governance, security, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have
  • Experience with Python or other scripting languages in a data engineering context.
  • Familiarity with additional cloud data platforms or BI/reporting tools.
  • Involvement in large-scale data transformation or SAP system upgrade projects.
