Applied knowledge of transmission and distribution numerical relay and protection; capable of designing and specifying them; capable of approving and supervising the designs of other engineers. Communication Network Technologies, including Design and hardware configuration. Communication protocols such as IEC61850 (MMS/GOOSE/SMV), DNP, Modbus, IEC103, IEC101, IEC104, Profinet, Profibus. Working knowledge of change/configuration management tools and processes, as well as experience with other IT related tools and software for business analytics and project management.
