We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer You’ll make a difference by: Mandatory Skills: Railway Domain Expertise: Strong experience in design & development for signaling or train control/protection systems such as ETCS, CBTC, PTC, or Kavach ( or equivalent safety critical domain ) C++ Software Development Proven hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex software systems using C++, including system applications, middleware, and communication protocol stacks. Software Design & Architecture: Proven experience in software design, including: Modular and scalable architecture development Interface design and integration Object-Oriented Design Principles Design Patterns Understanding of system-level interactions in distributed systems Safety-Critical Standards (CENELEC): Working knowledge of EN50128 / CENELEC standards, including development lifecycle, documentation discipline, and safety integrity concepts applicable to railway systems. Strong understanding of Core Computer Science Fundamentals: Data Structures and Algorithms Operating Systems & RTOS: Strong understanding of Operating System concepts, with exposure to RTOS-based systems (task scheduling, synchronization, memory management, inter-process communication). Learning Agility & Analytical Capability: Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new domains and technologies, with a structured and self-driven learning approach in complex systems. Requirements 9+ years of experience is required. Should be well-versed with Waterfall and Agile methodologies Understanding of the code versioning systems such as ClearCase and Git and static code analysis tools Should have knowledge/experience of conducting Code reviews, and coverage, style guides, coding rules, etc. Excellent communication skills to work in a collaborative manner with colleagues from different nationalities Can-do attitude, continuous improvement mindset, and initiative taking abilities to build high quality product and improve knowledge within the team Analytical skills Thorough knowledge of the standard library, STL containers, algorithms, and data structures, and unit test framework with hands-on development experience Good understanding of memory management in non-garbage collected environments Knowledge of network programing and socket programing Duties and Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain product functionalities Prepare documentation as per required standards Lead a small team of developers technically and take responsibility of overall design and delivery from this team meeting quality standards Work closely with team members across Geographies to deliver the assigned work. Provide technical help / direction to the Team as needed. Suggest improvements to processes, approaches, and product Take ownership of sub-areas within the team and drive continuous improvement in those along with improving team’s knowledge Your success is grounded in: 9+ years of experience is required.
