His/her main contribution and accountabilities will be:
Maintenance of field instruments which includes transmitters (PT, FT, LT, TT), control valves, switches, analyzers, sensors, RTDs, auto drain valves, flow meters, thermocouples, PSVs, TSVs etc.
Maintenance of PLC, DCS and SIS (ESD/SCS) control systems.
Troubleshoot the instrument related issues on a daily basis.
Follow annual maintenance plan (PM plan and turnaround) for Instrumentation based on PM plans, historical performance, vendor manuals, AL group guidelines, with the guidance of Maintenance In-charge.
Implement the standard maintenance plans to ensure that there is no slippage of WOs. Submit the noncompliance to Maintenance In-charge for the validation process.
Prepare monthly reports on maintenance activities for Instrumentation and submit to Maintenance In-charge and respective Functional Lead in the Central Reliability Team (CRT).
Perform and take lead on plant RCAs for technical & safety incidents and take corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
Familiar with the HAZOP study.
Coordination with the OEMs for resolution of the instrument's issues if required.
Prepare annual maintenance budget for Instrumentation, get it reviewed by Functional Manager, initiate timely purchases and keep the expenditure under control.
Maintaining the instrument spares for preventive, corrective or shutdown maintenance and inventory records to be maintained .
Prepare TAR plan for Instrumentation, list of spare parts for procurement (based on SPM selection matrix, OEM recommendation and VS study), ensure timely availability of spares to perform PM and TAR maintenance.
Follow-up with the OEM, internal stakeholders (Procurement) for procurement of instruments and their accessories.
Participate in quarterly maintenance audits conducted by CRT and close audit non conformities in definite time. Maintain audit finding reports and implement the improvement plan under the guidance of Maintenance In-charge.
Actively participate in implementation of special projects launched by CRT on a time to time basis.
Skill Set/Knowledge/Expertise
Minimum 4-years experience in maintenance in industrial operations in Instrumentation Engineering.
Strong field instruments technical skill (preferred having experience on Servomex analyzers, Emerson transmitters, samson control valves).
Basic control system knowledge ( preferred having Emerson or Yokogawa DCS / SIS)
Knowledge of working on PM tool e.g. SAP, Maximo etc
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to work on Google doc, sheet.
Ability to handle instrumentation related technical tasks independently.
