About the team and what we will build together

The Cloud Engineering team is focused on building enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure with a strong emphasis on automation, quality, security, and scalability while maintaining operational efficiency as the organization grows.

As a Cloud Engineering Manager, you will lead the design, delivery, and operation of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud platforms that power our client solutions. You will partner closely with business stakeholders and other engineering teams to translate requirements into resilient architectures, while ensuring operational excellence across all environments. You will be responsible for mentoring and developing your team, driving adoption of AI automation and best practices, and ensuring that solutions are delivered with a strong focus on quality, security, and efficiency. Your leadership will directly influence platform stability, time to market, and the organization’s ability to scale without increasing operational overhead.

How You Will Make an Impact

    • Partner with business and delivery stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, secure cloud solutions

    • Act as a communication bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, clearly explaining technical decisions and tradeoffs

    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of cloud engineers, fostering accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement

    • Own the end-to-end delivery of cloud engineering initiatives, ensuring solutions meet performance, reliability, and security standards

    • Provide leadership during production incidents, including stepping into a hands-on or administrative role during high severity events

    • Establish and maintain operational processes, runbooks, and standards for cloud infrastructure and platform services

    • Drive the creation and upkeep of technical documentation, ensuring it is complete, current, and accessible

    • Support solutioning and pre-sales efforts through development of technical estimates and level of effort assessments

    • Facilitate technical strategy discussions and planning sessions to shape platform direction and team priorities

    • Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and quality standards across all implementations

    • Proactively identify risks, gaps, and dependencies, and drive resolution across teams

    • Delegate effectively to balance immediate delivery needs with long-term strategic goals

What You Need to Be Successful

    • 7+ years of experience delivering hands-on technology solutions in cloud or infrastructure environments

    • 5+ years of experience working with cloud-native architectures (AWS preferred)

    • 3+ years of experience leading or managing engineering teams

    • Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, including high availability, scalability, and cost optimization

    • Experience operating and supporting Kubernetes-based platforms

    • Working knowledge of application architectures, including Java-based systems and database best practices

    • Experience with cloud networking and security controls, including firewalls and traffic management

    • Hands-on experience with automation and CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar), with preference for Ansible and AWX

    • Strong Linux administration experience, preferably with RHEL-based systems

    • Experience delivering large-scale technical projects from planning through production support

    • Ability to identify risks and gaps early and drive proactive resolution

    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for executive, business, and technical audiences

    • Experience working in fast-paced, client-facing environments
