Tax & Accounting Publisher, Tax & Accounting Editorial
Do you want to join a team who is striving to simplify complex tax and accounting topics for our customers?  Then this role may be for you.  Checkpoint is a unique online research resource designed to help tax and accounting professionals find the answers they need in their field of expertise. We are seeking a Tax & Accounting Editorial Manager to lead our local Publishers supporting the Checkpoint editorial team with the creation, publication, delivery, and presentation of content for Checkpoint and to provide administrative support to facilitate the smooth running of the editorial teams.
About the role:
Working with other Editorial teams in Hyderabad and the US Checkpoint Editorial team, you will:
lead and manage the editorial team, set priorities and ensure goals and schedules are met. 
Ensure product quality is met and maintained.
Lead and review the creation and update of the content in accordance with specified instructions. For example, research, identify, and update disclosure examples relevant to existing content.
Lead and review the work on print products at various stages of creation to ensure completeness and readability of content, checking accuracy of titles, headers, paragraph organization, pagination, etc.
Lead and review other quality control tasks at the direction of US Editorial team (for instance, checks on our quarterly on our financial statement disclosure checklists).
Lead and review the update process for maintained resources (for instance, maintenance updates of GAAP content).
Develop understanding of the roles and responsibilities of each team member and how each role impacts production. You will also be required to become proficient on the use of company-specific systems necessary to perform your job functions.
Develop local team of Editors, ensuring that growth is a priority for all.
Write and deliver regular performance feedback and reviews for team members
About You
You’re a fit for the role of Tax & Accounting Publisher if your background includes:


  • Good quality tax or accounting degree from an accredited school. US CPA preferred, alternatively, UK Chartered Accountant diploma (or ACCA). An understanding of tax and accounting concepts is required.
  • High level literacy skills in English.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and under short deadlines, while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications, ability to search and manage online resources, and strong computer skills generally.
  • Ability to meet deadlines: excellent time management and ability to organize/prioritise own and team workload essential.
  • Good team working skills: must be able to work well and communicate effectively within a team environment.
