How to contribute to our vision


Design & Development of Direct Drive Generator components


As a Design Engineer in this role, you will be


  • Designing Direct Drive Generator components to meet the design requirements such as functionality, robustness, cost effectiveness etc.,


  • Developing concepts for mechanical components, create 3D models & 2D drawings in UG NX.


  • Designing bolted/welded joints and forged/casted constructions.


  • Responsible for the DFMEA of the components designed.


  • Performing RCA for failures in the mechanical components of Generator


  • Deriving technical solutions and review with internal design team and multiple stakeholders, suppliers and solution providers.


  • Responsible to design for manufacturing, assembly and service requirements.


  • Responsible for safety in mechanical design


  • Working on Team Center & Engineering Change Management process


What You Need To Make a Difference


A passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for


  • Graduate/Post-Graduate in Mechanical engineering (~Total experience: 6-10 years)


  • At least 4-6 years of relevant experience (e.g. Rotating machines like Motors, generators, etc. or Heavy Machinery. Preferably Generator/Wind Domain)


  • Good knowledge of specifying realistic tolerances using GPS/GD&T.


  • Experience in hand calculations to validate the concepts created.


  • Good knowledge of 8D, FMEA and Risk Assessments.


  • Experience in design of bolted/welded joints.


  • Exposure to International standards on Wind Turbine Design


  • Hands on experience in 3D/2D model creation in software like NX/Catia/etc.


  • Knowledge/Experience in manufacturing methods preferred.
