Team and context description


The NDC-X program is at full speed now, aiming at providing even more content to Travel Sellers, through the integration of new airlines (IndiGo, Emirates, Spirit, etc), and with a clear goal of being the undisputed aggregator in terms of features, allowing Travel Sellers to save a lot of time by streamlining complex after-sales scenarios.


In this scope, quality becomes the number one priority, as we want to be recognized as the most reliable partner, acknowledging the complexity of the NDC landscape, where all features are dependent on the NDC IT Provider of the various airlines we’re integrating.


The involvement of the NDC-X E2E QA scrum team is consequently critical to ensure that developments done across the 4 airline distribution Agile Release Trains are consistent, from exposition through SECO or API, to the connection to IT Providers using Connectivity Layers, going through Search, Shopping, Booking and Settlement layers.


Your Main Responsibilities

Common accountabilities:


  • Proficient in technical and functional knowledge to ensure team performs at a high level. Is recognized as a leader in own area and may formally train Specialists/Senior Specialists.


  • Understands how main business drivers may impact on own area. Can assess complex problems with broad impact on the activity, improve processes, recommend solutions and risk mitigation plans. Able to communicate complex information.


  • Works with a high level of autonomy, based on management directions. Leads projects or contributes to broad cross-functional projects. May contribute to guiding on program prioritization.


  • Define and maintain releasing strategy & own the release plan for the entire NDC-X program


  • Develop a relationship structure between the relevant levels of decision for both Amadeus and customer organizations involved in production related activities


  • Accompany and support the customer during production activation (high involvement and hypercare in customer facing meetings, supporting General Expert Teams)


  • Analyze all releasing requirements cross divisions as well as for customers


  • Follow the results of the pre-production and non regression campaigns performed by the QA Engineers/Managers


  • Provide the appropriate sign off for functional, non-functional and non-regression validations for production


  • Follow-up issues and trigger actions to ensure sustainability of the product


  • Responsible for the monitoring of the software quality KPIs in production


  • Deliver regular reports to counterparts (Management, Customers) on the evolution of the production health


  • Collaborate with development teams, commercial and cross-functional teams to prioritize requirements and streamline execution
