About the Job


We are looking for a highly motivated, analytical, and resourceful Operations Analyst to support SVB’s growth. This candidate will be in SVB’s Reconciliation team responsible for reconciling bank-wide Cash/Bank, Loan, Deposit, Cash, Cards and FX accounts.


The ideal candidate will: 


  • Performs in-depth analysis of reconciliations, deciphering complex exceptions between systems for assigned to complex accounts
  • Performs root-cause analysis on why exceptions exist and leads the effort in resolving them
  • Analyzes trends, enters exception data, and ensures proper aging
  • Communicates complex break reports to either internal groups within the firm or correspondents outside the firm. Monitors resolution
  • Responsible for completing the daily, weekly, and monthly tasks including month-end certification
  • Assists in analyzing operational needs and provides input for project requests to solve the identified need
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement them to create efficiencies
  •  Ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels bank wide
  • Participate in Audit process and interact with internal and external auditors

What You’ll Bring:


  • General knowledge of bank products, regulations, Processes, and procedures
  • Accounting knowledge including recording journal entries and understanding of financial impacts
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of excel
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Communicates with poise and professionalism through verbal and written communication
  • Aptitude for following process and procedures
  • Ability to multi-task and handle high volumes
  • Executes tasks efficiently and quickly with strong attention to detail and deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize deliverables and assignments

Education and Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Minimum 4-6 yrs. of reconciling experience in a financial institution including Month end activities
  • Blackline reconciliation application experience is a plus
  • Experience on Debit/Credit Card & Loans reconciliation is a plus
  • Experience in Wire Payment reconciliation is a plus
  • Experience with large ERP – e.g., PSGL, Oracle, SAP etc
