Reporting to the director of people and culture, we’re looking for a highly skilled Learning Specialist to join a team of extremely self-driven and motivated Learning Professionals. Responsibilities


  • Design and develop engaging course content and learning solutions (ILT, Virtual ILT, Web-based, videos, etc.)
  • Work closely with the Manager, People Development to assess client needs and develop learning materials to address the gaps identified in the needs assessment
  • Oversee the entire instructional design process to deliver the appropriate learning solution
  • Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop learning content while ensuring its accuracy and quality
  • Work with the People Development team to establish and conduct a thorough vetting process before deployment of training solutions
  • Facilitate Day 1 Orientation training for all SOTI new hires
  • Define and create evaluation measures (knowledge quiz checks, online courses evaluations, learning surveys, etc.) for learning solutions
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the training, programs, initiatives and adjust to achieve the desired results
  • Administer the Learning Management System (LMS) including creating reports, user maintenance, security access, troubleshooting, and course uploads
  • Analyze current trends, best practices in learning technologies, and field
  • Act as a learning advocate to augment our learning culture by participating in various company-wide learning initiatives

Qualifications


  • 4+ years’ experience in corporate training or talent development role
  • Post-secondary education preferably in Human Resources, Adult Learning, or a related discipline with an emphasis on learning and development
  • Working experience in instructional design and knowledge of learning methodologies
  • Strong oral, written, interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders and team members
  • Excellent facilitation skills with a passion for engaging audiences
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment
  • Working experience in administering a Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Working knowledge of online learning applications such as iSpring, Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Photoshop, and other technologies
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
