PR Manager - Sustainability, Public Relations - Corp Comm

Amazon is seeking a high-judgement, self-motivated, and creative communications professional to join our corporate communications team in India. This individual will lead Sustainability PR for Amazon in India, supporting a core portion of Amazon's corporate narrative by driving cross-channel, proactive PR campaigns. This individual will be responsible for designing and executing proactive PR campaigns for the Sustainability program, by working with various internal teams. The individual will work with members of the media as well as other external and internal stakeholders on relevant and engaging storytelling with emerging themes that are imperative for corporate reputation. The individual will manage complex narratives and develop digital storytelling reaching out to multiple audiences. The candidate will deliver measurable results.
Key job responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
•Be the subject matter expert in the defined area to build effective narratives.
•Design and execute year-long Sustainability PR campaigns addressing various external stakeholders addressing larger corporate Sustainability goals.
•Closely collaborate and work with global Sustainability program and communications' teams to develop relevant localised campaigns and measure their effectiveness.
•Ensure all communications campaigns on Sustainability resonate with the larger corporate reputation goal.
•Develop, build, and maintain strong relationships with the press and other internal and external audiences.
•Provide strategic counsel to senior business leaders and business teams, and manage their media engagements and speaking opportunities.
•Manage cross channel communication in partnership with internal communications, social media, and similar storytelling teams.
•Identify and leverage data to support storytelling efforts – build trust and strong relations with internal teams to mine for good stories.
•Draft written materials, including press releases, memos, articles, pitches, statements, Q&As, and more.

- 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field
- Experience in professional communications or public relations
