What You Will Do:




The P&WC engine programs are powering 5 engine markets: Regional turboprop aircrafts, General aviation aircrafts, Business jets aircrafts, Helicopters and Auxiliary power systems on larger aircrafts, which help connecting people and economies around the world.



The Data Engineer plays a key role in enabling scalable and reliable data infrastructure for the Customer Programs Hub (CPH) organization. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines, scalable data platforms, and curated data layers that support analytics, operational reporting, and data governance initiatives.



The role works closely with Data Analysts, Data Stewards, Digital Technology (DT) teams, and business stakeholders to ensure enterprise data is efficiently ingested, transformed, governed, and made accessible for advanced analytics and decision-making.




Responsibilities include:



  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows to ingest, transform, and process large operational datasets from multiple enterprise systems using platforms such as Databricks and Spark.
  • Develop and maintain data ingestion frameworks for integrating structured and semi-structured data sources while optimizing pipeline performance for efficient large-scale data processing.
  • Apply solution architecture principles to design scalable and efficient data solutions, including defining data flow architecture, integration patterns, and optimized data structures that align with enterprise data platform standards.
  • Build and maintain curated data layers, structured datasets, and data models that support downstream analytics, dashboards, and operational reporting.
  • Support the implementation of modern data architectures such as Lakehouse frameworks while ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability of data platforms.
  • Implement automated data validation, monitoring frameworks, and quality checks within data pipelines to ensure data integrity, completeness, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with Data Stewards, Data Analysts, and Digital Technology (DT) teams to translate business requirements into scalable data engineering solutions and integrate enterprise data sources into analytics platforms.
  • Troubleshoot data pipeline failures, performance bottlenecks, and data integrity issues, and support root cause investigations to implement sustainable engineering solutions.
  • Contribute to enterprise data governance initiatives including metadata management, lineage tracking, and continuous improvement of data engineering standards and best practices.

Qualifications You Must Have:




  • B.Sc/ B.C.A/ B.E/ B.Tech in Data Analytics/ Data Science/ Big Data/ Computer Science/ IT.
  • Minimum 5-8 years prior relevant experience in Data Engineering Or Data Platform Development, or Data Analytics Engineering roles.
  • Working experience in the aviation industry, preferably within Technical Services, Customer Support Services, or Engineering data environments.
  • Strong experience designing and developing data pipelines using modern data platforms such as Databricks or similar environments.
  • Advanced experience in SQL development, data transformation, and large-scale dataset processing.
  • Hands-on experience working with distributed data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark.
  • Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and scalable data architectures.
  • Experience working with large operational datasets, ensuring data integrity, reliability, and performance.
  • Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting skills, and attention to data quality and system performance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with global stakeholders and cross-functional teams

Qualifications We Prefer:




  • Experience working with Databricks, Apache Spark, or cloud-based data platforms (Azure / AWS) for large-scale data engineering
  • Experience building interactive dashboards and analytical visualizations using tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau
  • Experience designing and implementing Lakehouse architectures, data pipelines, and curated data layers used in modern analytics platforms.
  • Exposure to Python, PySpark, or automation scripting for data processing and analytical workflows.
