The RoleAs a Process Engineer Level I with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.


  • Process Engineer experienced in FS, BE, DE and PMC in Medium and Large sized projects for MMM segment, particularly in the following areas: 
    • Mineral Processing
    • Concept to Detail Design phase in Alumina space
    • Alumina Refinery Design for all Unit Operations (Red side and White side)
    • Aluminum Smelter Design – all Unit Operations including ancillaries like Fume Treatment Plant, Casting Plant etc.
    • Balance of Plant, Utility Engineering for refinery and smelter
    • Interface management
    • Improvement through Process Optimization 
  • Review / develop Basis of Design / Process design Criteria
  • Review of Test work and Flow Scheme development for Alumina refinery
  • Carry out Simulation, Equipment selection, and preparation of BFD
  • Preparation / Review of Heat and Material Balance
  • Review / Development of PFD
  • Development of Equipment List
  • Review / Development of Process Description
  • Process calculation and Equipment sizing
  • Hydraulic calculations and Line sizing including Slurry Line sizing

Additional Responsibilities:


  • Development / Review of P&ID
  • Development / Review of Control Philosophy
  • Review / Development of all Process Lists
  • Review / Development of Equipment Process Datasheets
  • Review / Development of Instrument Process Datasheets
  • Review / Development Control Narrative, Cause & Effect matrix
  • Review / Development of Water Balance / Utility Balance
  • Review / Development of Utility system design Basis / UFD/ U&ID
  • Participation in HAZOP/ HAZID / Safety Review.

About You


To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy / Process Engineering from recognized University / Institution
  • More than 15 years of rich experience 
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Mineral Processing in depth Knowledge
  • Concept to Detail Design phase in Alumina space
  • Alumina Refinery Design for all Unit Operations (Red side and White side)
  • Aluminum Smelter Design – all Unit Operations including ancillaries like Fume Treatment Plant, Casting Plant etc.
