About the role: 


The Product Developer, Sr is responsible for designing, coding, testing and maintaining company products by participating in all phases of the development process. The Product Developer, Sr works with other areas of the business to provide recommendations and mentors other team members.


Primary function of this role will be to support new Data Plane initiative within Epicor.   Responsivities will include designing, developing and owning workflows, front end systems, and platform integration.


What you will do:


  • Design, develop, refactor, test, and maintain scalable full-stack applications and platform components.
  • Lead technical design and architecture discussions across frontend, backend, integration, and cloud services.
  • Design and implement reusable UI frameworks, component libraries, APIs, and backend services that support enterprise-scale applications.
  • Develop and integrate REST APIs, event-driven services, and streaming data solutions.
  • Design and deliver intuitive user experiences for complex data governance, automation, analytics, and visualization platforms.
  • Participate in and lead code reviews, architecture reviews, and technical design sessions.
  • Mentor and support developers through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and training.
  • Develop, analyze, and maintain tools that support software development, testing, deployment, and release processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement of coding standards, development practices, and engineering processes.
  • Create work estimates, identify risks, and proactively deliver high-quality solutions on time.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across the full technology stack using monitoring, observability, and diagnostic tools.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, UX, Architecture, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver business value.

What you will need to succeed:


  • Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript for building modern web applications.
  • Strong experience designing scalable frontend architectures, reusable component libraries, and responsive user interfaces.
  • Experience integrating REST APIs and real-time event-driven services.
  • Strong backend development experience using .NET/C#, Node.js, or equivalent enterprise technologies.
  • Experience designing and developing microservices and distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with Confluent Kafka and event-streaming platforms.
  • Knowledge of Data Governance solutions and metadata-driven applications is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Azure Cloud services and cloud-native application development.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, containerization, and deployment automation.
  • Strong understanding of frontend and backend observability, monitoring, logging, and production troubleshooting.
  • Experience designing complex data visualization, governance, and analytical user experiences.
  • Experience with AI-assisted development, testing, and productivity tools.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and business domains.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentorship skills.

Qualifications


  • 5–8+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of specialized industry or domain experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading technical initiatives and mentoring developers.
