About this Role

We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer (Playwright & CI/CD) with strong end-to-end testing expertise to design, develop, and maintain robust automated test solutions. The role focuses on aligning test automation frameworks with business requirements, ensuring high-quality releases through efficient UI and API testing, and enabling seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will contribute to test strategy, governance, and continuous improvement of the automation landscape while supporting scalability, reliability, and faster delivery cycles.




What you’ll do

• Lead end-to-end test automation lifecycle (design → develop → execute → maintain) using Playwright
• Design and implement scalable UI and API automation frameworks using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript)
• Translate business and functional requirements into automated test scenarios and test cases
• Build and execute end-to-end (E2E) tests for web applications (React-based UI preferred)
• Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar) to ensure quality gates
• Implement cross-browser testing, parallel execution, and test optimization strategies
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product teams to ensure shift-left testing practices
• Manage test data setup, mocking, and environment dependencies
• Design and support test reporting, defect tracking, and debugging failures
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, governance, and secure coding/testing practices
• Provide production validation support and contribute to continuous improvement of test processes




Who you are
  • An experienced QA Automation Engineer / SDET with ~3+ years of relevant experience
  • Hands-on expertise in Playwright automation (JavaScript/TypeScript)(must-have)
  • Strong understanding of UI automation, API testing, and E2E testing strategies
  • Experience in integrating tests with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Familiar with modern web applications (React, REST APIs, microservices architecture)
  • Knowledge of test design patterns, frameworks, and reusable automation architecture
  • Comfortable debugging failures across UI, backend, and pipeline layers
  • Experience with test data management, mocks, and stubs
  • A collaborative team player working across Dev, QA, and DevOps teams
  • Detail-oriented with focus on quality, reliability, and performance of releases
