This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 600000 - Rs 2300000 (ie INR 6-23 LPA) Experience: 3+ yrs Location: Bengaluru Job Type: full-time We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to drive quality and reliability across developer-focused products and platforms.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building robust test automation frameworks, validating complex APIs and developer tools, and ensuring exceptional user experiences at scale.
As part of a fast-paced engineering team, you will work closely with developers and product stakeholders to identify quality risks, automate testing processes, and improve release confidence.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical testing expertise with a detail-oriented mindset and a passion for delivering reliable, high-performance software used by a large developer community.
Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites using Playwright and TypeScript.
Create, execute, and optimize functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test cases for web applications, APIs, and developer tools.
Validate API functionality, workflows, and system behavior to ensure reliability and performance.
Collaborate closely with engineering teams to understand product architecture, requirements, and release goals.
Review, maintain, and improve test coverage to ensure product quality across releases.
Identify, document, track, and validate defects through resolution while ensuring timely feedback to development teams.
Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated testing into deployment workflows.
Participate in quality planning, test strategy discussions, and release readiness activities.
Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and proactively identify opportunities to improve system stability.
Champion quality best practices and contribute to building a culture of continuous improvement across the engineering organization.
What Makes You a Great Fit 3–5 years of experience in QA Automation, Software Testing, or Quality Engineering roles.
Strong hands-on expertise in Playwright and TypeScript for building scalable automation frameworks.
Experience testing APIs, developer-facing products, SDKs, platforms, or command-line tools.
Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, automation strategies, and defect management processes.
Experience maintaining and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and automated quality gates.
Ability to write, review, and execute comprehensive test cases with a strong focus on reliability and user experience.
Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail with a passion for delivering high-quality software products.
Comfortable working independently in collaborative and asynchronous environments.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering, product, and quality teams.
