This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Min Experience: 1 years Location: Bengaluru JobType: full-time We are looking for a 1–4 years of QA or software testing experience, including leading QA efforts.
What you’ll do: 1.
Take full ownership of the QA strategy for our entire product range, including the desktop application, CLI, and API workflows.
2. Develop and manage test automation pipelines covering end-to-end, regression, and unit tests.
3. Establish testing methodologies, quality standards, and criteria for product releases.
4. Collaborate closely with Engineering and Product teams to identify and resolve bugs promptly and frequently.
5. Advocate for product reliability by addressing edge cases, cross-platform challenges, and real-world developer scenarios.
6. Foster a strong QA culture within the team through documentation, tooling improvements, and expanding test coverage.
About you: 1.
Possess 1 to 4 years of experience in QA or software testing, including leadership roles in QA projects.
2. Have experience testing developer-centric products such as APIs or CLI tools, preferably those with hundreds of thousands of users.
3. Demonstrate strong skills in automation using frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent tools.
4. Be comfortable writing and reviewing test cases, maintaining continuous integration pipelines, and working asynchronously.
5. Exhibit excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering clean and reliable user experiences.
6. Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Bonus: 1. Experience contributing to open-source projects or working within open-source communities.
2. Familiarity with Electron applications, Node.
js, and Git-based workflows.
3. Experience testing or helping to develop tools such as API clients or other developer-focused applications.
4. Ability to thrive in a startup environment or fast-paced product development setting.
