Research Assistant:


Reuters Breakingviews is the leading provider of agenda-setting insight to the global financial community. With around 35 columnists worldwide, we deliver hard-hitting commentary across LSEG terminals, Reuters.com and our own subscriber website. We also publish daily columns in newspapers and websites around the world, giving us a high profile among influencers worldwide.
 


About the role:


In this opportunity as Research Assistant, you will:


  • This position involves providing across-the-board support for a team of 10 columnists and editors based across Asia.
  • The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, an ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and a robust appreciation for the editorial process, as well as a keen interest in writing original columns with the potential to advance as a journalist at Reuters.
  • The successful applicant will be based in Bengaluru, and work Hong Kong hours starting weekdays at 0530 IST under a hybrid office and work-from-home model. The position will report to Una Galani, Asia Editor.
  • Daily production of text content on multiple publishing platforms
  •  The opportunity to learn how to produce podcast.
  •  Promotion of Breakingviews through social media, email newsletters and other means.
  •  Organization of special projects, including the production of books and small events
  • Support Breakingviews editors and columnists with research as needed

About You:
