Energy Based Devices (EBD), includes vessel sealing, electrosurgical and ablation products and related capital equipment. Close Energy-based Devices utilize multiple types of energy such as radio frequency (mono-polar and bi-polar), microwave, argon plasma, etc. to obtain a specific, intended tissue effect during surgical or therapeutic procedures in multiple clinical settings around the world. Current product areas include electro-surgery, vessel sealing and tissue/tumor ablation.
A Day in the Life
Revenue Responsibility
·Responsible for achieving sales target in terms of product units and revenue and increase total company market share in assigned territory.
·Support in creating and implementing an annual business plan with quarterly updates.
·Ensure coverage of all accounts based on customer segmentation within territory in agreement with the manager to maintain optimum level of exposure.
·Maintain and expand existing business and develop new business opportunities.
Business Management
·Seek new customers and formulate and follow up plans for such action as directed by the Sales Manager.
·Work with existing key centers to develop and implement strategies to move accounts towards center of excellence for Hernia Solutions.
·Develop Sales strategies and execute same within the Sales Force Effectiveness model.
·Conduct required training for new accounts on all therapies.
·Sell specified therapies to Surgeons, institutions, payers, and other medical staff.
Customer Management
·Provide Coverage, Case support for wound closure portfolio in the assigned Territory.
·Conduct customer in-services for new and existing accounts.
·Develop relationships with Surgeons and hospital administration staff to ensure both clinical and non-clinical needs are identified and met.
·Develop ethical, positive long-term customer relationships.
·Satisfy customer complaints in accordance with Medtronic policy and to advise Sales Manager promptly of any situation beyond scope of authority.
Qualifications - External
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
• B Pharma/B Sc (Any Sciences)/BE
• MBA would be preferred
• Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software.
• At least 1- 4 years sales experience in a technical and dynamic environment.
• Experience in delivering health related in-service or similar type training and education
• Proven sales and negotiations experience
• Success in developing new markets
• Experience in making multiple sales calls on a daily basis
• Willing to travel extensively

• Good verbal communicator and presenter – Good command over English and Regional language
• Professional presentation and "Presence"
• Professional standard of written and verbal communication to sales team and customers
• Ability to quickly establish credibility with all levels of customer base
• People and Relationship building Skills including Networking Skills
• Logical approach & reasoning skills while analyzing competition & market trends.
• Strong Analytical ability during customer/patient call.
