The Position:
As a SAP DevOps Infrastructure Engineer at Roche, you will play a pivotal role in our international IT department. You will be at the forefront of technological innovation in a fast-paced and agile environment. With the authority to influence and enhance our cutting-edge SAP platforms on a global scale, you will contribute to our commitment to operational excellence and efficiency.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in and improve the entire lifecycle of platforms and services, from inception to design, deployment, operation, and retirement.
- Apply software engineering principles to build and manage large-scale IT infrastructure products and services, optimizing reliability, availability, capacity, and performance through automation.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, enabling developers to easily build, test, and deploy applications.
- Ensure IT infrastructure services meet and maintain agreed Service Level Indicators (SLIs), objectives (SLOs), and agreements (SLAs) in compliance with QA requirements.
- Take responsibility for availability, tuning, performance, efficiency, change and configuration management, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning.
- Implement cost, compliance, and security best practices to ensure platforms and services meet corresponding requirements.
- Collaborate with developers, Managed Services suppliers, and other teams to continuously improve application development velocity and optimize service reliability, availability, and performance.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure new features and changes are rolled out with reliability in mind, bringing a broader and more strategic understanding of reliability across multiple facets of development.
- Act as an analyst by transforming complex customer and developer needs into specific technical requirements.
Who You Are:
To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Experience with SAP Basis/Hana in a high compute environment.
- Proficiency in SAP Solution Manager activities, including EWA setup, E2E, SD, and CHARM configuration.
- Knowledge of OpenText Content Suite, OpenText Extended ECM, and OTDS (Open text Directory Services).
- Expertise in the installation and configuration of HANA server, stand-alone SLT Replication Server, and add-ons in ECC for SLT.
- Experience in migrating other databases to HANA and configuring monitoring of SAP HANA Databases (DCC).
- Ability to automate scenarios to bring more efficiency to operations.
- Proficiency in reviewing system performance and providing recommendations for improvements.
- Skill in developing and modifying shell scripts to automate procedures.
- Capability to document and translate business requirements into technology solutions.
- Practical experience in SAP Installations, SAP NetWeaver operational problem troubleshooting, and SAP upgrades.
- Familiarity with low code/no code solutions is a plus.
- Experience with task management tools and ticket managing systems such as Trello and Service Now.
- Good understanding of SAP application security, Single Sign-on (SSO), SAP cloud, and standard identity federation options.
- Experience in writing governance documents is a plus.
- Awareness of ICFR, GxP, and other regulations is a plus.
