What is the Security Services Analyst responsible for?
  • The Analyst will be responsible for the corporate actions research and evaluate corporate action information pertaining to Mandatory Corporate actions from various external sources on a daily basis for all the securities invested. The Analyst will leverage various market sources and internal contacts to understand, validate, and update the corporate action information databases and ensure information is entered and distributed in a timely and accurate manner along with ensuring no adverse NAV or Financial impacts. Analyst needs to have complete understanding of pricing, quantity and cost implications due to the corporate action on the security or securities. The Analyst will support our internal office clients by hosting all corporate action related inquiries, managing event deadlines, and partnering with different facets of the organizations and ensure accurate & timely updates are made in each appropriate system and share relevant information when needed/requested with the impacted teams. The Analyst will have to build strong contacts with our external sources like custodians, issuers, market vendors & contact various company investor relationship teams.


What are the ongoing responsibilities of the Security Services Analyst?

Production Processing:


  • Researching, validating, and processing corporate action information from various external sources on a daily basis within our internal systems.


  • Track all outstanding Mandatory corporate actions and capture all market updates while maintaining a thorough understanding of the event and company intent.


  • Support all impacted stakeholders (front office clients, downstream accounting and reporting, and other investment operation teams) by answering all inquiries timely and accurately.


  • Keeping abreast of and implementing changes in the daily corporate action procedures, the market practices and general rules and regulations to ensure that capital change information is distributed in a timely and accurate manner.


  • Maintaining corporate action information databases and ensuring information is entered and distributed in a timely and accurate manner.  Ensuring all updates are made in each appropriate system.


  • Analyzing and following-up on the proper action to resolve pending Corporate Action problems.


  • Researching and evaluating late corporate action information from various external sources. Contacting external sources when needed.


  • Coordinate with other operational facets to ensure that corporate action entitlements are reflected timely in the portfolios and to mitigate any potential NAV or reporting impacts.


  • Collaborating with downstream processes and other IO Sites and external sources to ensure that their queries are answered in the appropriate manner & in a timely fashion.


  • Maintain corporate action database and clear all system triggered checks and ensure safeguards and controls are properly followed.


  • All the updates to the procedures should be well maintained & stored at a place from where team should be able to access the data.


Audit:


  • Verification of all Mandatory Corporate actions details entered by peers in the appropriate system is accurate.


  • Ensuring FX rates pertaining to Cash dividends are correctly updated.


  • Ensures that all the audits are performed accurately so that we do not have adverse NAV or Financial impacts


IO – COAC Dept. Projects:


  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements and works with the Team and Supervisor to implement them.


  • Participates on project teams as a corporate actions subject matter expert; defines requirements and completes user acceptance testing for Trust technology enhancements.


  • Works with technology staff and/or vendors to resolve issues and/or implement technology changes.


  • Should be able to complete all the testing within the deadlines & help other team members as well, during the testing phase.


  • He should be able to make informed decisions during the calls & has to ensure for complete correctness of the data provided/confirmed.


Education Qualifications & Experience:


  • Master’s degree in business administration, Commerce or related field, or equivalent combination of


  • education and experience


  • Financial Services experience, especially in trade settlement is required.


  • 2-4 years of related experience

Work Shift Timings – 6:30 PM – 3:30 AM IST
