The Senior Strategy Analyst will conduct analysis, research, and development of a go-to-market strategy for new, online degree and non-degree programs at top-tier higher education institutions. This includes, but is not limited to, conducting comprehensive and detailed market research, competitive landscape assessments, and feasibility analyses. This role requires that the candidate be able to design clear problem statements, conduct structured analysis, and communicate strong insights and recommendations through written communications such as PowerPoint and Microsoft Word.  This individual will also play a strong role in devising strategic options and operational improvement recommendations that position Kaplan’s own business (Supplemental Education), Kaplan Higher Education and Purdue Global for continuous growth in enrollments and revenue and improvement to the student experience.


Primary Responsibilities


  • Strategic Project Support


    • Conduct comprehensive analysis and market research to support strategic decision-making.


    • Develop and present strategic recommendations to senior management.


    • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.


    • Independently build and analyze strategic projects, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
       


    M&A Pipeline Support


    • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities within the education sector.


    • Evaluate potential M&A opportunities, including financial modeling, due diligence, and integration planning.


    • Maintain and update the M&A pipeline and company database to ensure accurate tracking of opportunities and progress.
       


    Continuous Improvement


    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement strategic initiatives as needed and ensure alignment with organizational goals.


    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of strategic analysis and M&A activities.




  • Hybrid Schedule: 3 days remote / 2 days in office


  • 30-day notification period preferred


Minimum Qualifications


  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.


  • Proven experience (6+ years) in strategic analysis, M&A, corporate development or consulting.


  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.


  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills


  • Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau).


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic initiatives and deliver results.


  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.


  • High attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.


Preferred Qualifications


  • 2+ years of experience with mergers and acquisitions, financial planning, and analysis.


  • MBA preferred


  • Proficiency in project management and coordination across global teams.


  • Familiarity with the education industry
