Senior Azure DevOps & Automation Engineer

What success looks like in this role:

Lead Design and Implementation of DevOps Pipelines: Take charge of designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Services or similar tools for automating build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring adherence to Azure CAF guidelines.

Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize your deep knowledge of Infrastructure as Code principles within the Azure CAF framework to provision, configure, and manage Azure resources using tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, or Azure Resource Manager.

Architect Azure CAF Landing Zones: Design and implement Azure CAF landing zones, leveraging your extensive experience to establish secure, scalable, and well-governed cloud environments, aligned with organizational policies and compliance requirements.

Advanced Continuous Integration (CI): Configure and optimize automated builds triggered by code commits to repository branches, ensuring superior code quality through advanced automated testing and static code analysis within the Azure CAF context.

Robust Continuous Deployment (CD): Orchestrate and fine-tune automated deployments to various environments, including development, testing, staging, and production, meticulously adhering to Azure CAF principles and governance standards.

Comprehensive Monitoring and Logging Solutions: Implement advanced monitoring solutions aligned with Azure CAF guidelines to meticulously track system performance, application health, and resource utilization using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or similar cutting-edge tools.

Security and Compliance Expert: Collaborate closely with security teams, leveraging your extensive expertise to implement rigorous secure coding practices, enforce compliance requirements, and integrate advanced security controls into the CI/CD pipeline within the Azure CAF framework.

Documentation and Mentorship: Utilize your seasoned experience to meticulously document procedures, guidelines, and best practices for DevOps processes and automation workflows within the context of Azure CAF. Provide expert mentorship and training to team members on Azure CAF principles and practices.

Elite Troubleshooting and Support: Apply your wealth of experience to swiftly investigate and resolve complex issues related to build failures, deployment errors, or performance bottlenecks in the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring strict adherence to Azure CAF guidelines.

Champion Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Lead from the front in identifying opportunities for automation, optimization, and efficiency gains in software delivery processes within the Azure CAF framework. Spearhead initiatives to implement cutting-edge improvements and innovations aligned with Azure CAF best practices.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5-10 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing Microsoft Azure-based solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure services and features, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Networking, Azure Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure App Service, and Azure Functions.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, or Azure CLI.
• Experience with Azure DevOps Services for CI/CD pipeline configuration and automation.
• Strong understanding of Azure security principles, identity and access management (IAM), network security, encryption, and compliance standards.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex Azure-related issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Associate are preferred.
