Role Responsibilities

Senior, Data Scientist- Pune, MH

• Senior Data Science and AI professional with over 5+ years of experience applying advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI to solve complex business problems, primarily within the Banking and Financial Services domain.
• Strong expertise in supervised and unsupervised learning, classification, data and text mining, NLP, Decision Trees, Random Forests, model explainability, and end‑to‑end ML model deployment.
  Experienced in designing, building, and deploying scalable machine learning solutions using Python, AWS SageMaker, and Dataiku, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Works closely with cross‑functional teams across Marketing, Operations, and Digital Banking to translate business challenges into actionable data science problem statements and deliver AI/ML solutions for enterprise decisioning.
• Owns and drives AI/ML initiatives end to end, from ideation to automation and stakeholder handover. Proven ability to mentor junior data scientists, manage multiple initiatives, and deliver GenAI solutions using AWS Bedrock with strong understanding of modern LLM models.

Role Requirements

• Comes with a 5+ years of experience in applying in Data Science methods in solving business use cases preferably in Banking and Financial Services domain
• Extensive Experience in Machine Learning (supervised and unsupervised both ), Classification, Data/Text Mining, NLP, Decision Trees, Random Forest, , Model Explain ability ,ML model deployment
• Hands on expertise in building and deploying machine learning models using tools like Python, AWS Sagemaker, Dataiku
• Working Closely with various business units across Marketing, Operations, Digital Bank etc. to translate business challenges into a data science problem statement.
• Utilizes his expertise in Analytics, Machine Learning and AI to build solutions that leverage relevant data sources. Works with cross-functional teams to develop and implement the AI/ML solutions for frequent usage in decisioning.
• Capable of mentoring, guiding  the junior Data Scientists and ML Engineers to build a collaborative environment fostering a positive culture
• Design, Build, Deploy , Measure  AI/ML Solutions that align with the stakeholder expectations using the appropriate and most effective ML methods.
• Own and drives the delivery of all AI/ML projects. Takes ownership of technical projects from Ideation, requirements gathering to end automation.
• Partners with key business stakeholders through the projects and ensures smooth knowledge transfer for use of the end work product.
• Ability to Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and able to meet the committed project delivery deadlines. 
• Familiarity with building data pipelines in ETL tools like Matillion/Talend  to support the AWS model deployments would be a plus.
• Having  experience in building GenAI solutions for business usecases using AWS services like Bedrock with a good understanding of LLM models commonly used today is a must.
