Role description:
We are now recruiting talented individuals to fill our current vacancy for Senior Engineer - Process to work on our water projects in the North American region.
- Role accountabilities:
- Managing all aspects of water sustainability, water efficiency, design, and regulatory projects; including project planning, budgeting, schedule monitoring, and managing project controls
- Preparing engineering proposals, including the development of scopes of work, and assembling fee estimates and schedules
- Reviewing and assisting with the development of industrial water conservation concepts, design calculations, and technical reports
- Managing conflicts inherent in engineering design projects, including balancing the demands of scope, schedule, budget, and regulatory requirements as well as multiple stakeholders
- Researching feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and regulatory agency specifications
- Developing plans, specifications, requests for proposals, and other contract documents
- Working effectively and collaboratively in team situations and establishing strong relationships with other teams where the overlap of client project work exists
- Mentoring junior level staff in design and client management
- Preliminary and Detail design of the process mechanical systems associated with municipal and industrial water and/or wastewater treatment facilities and pump stations
- Compliance to the Arcadis Health and Safety standards
Qualifications & Experience:
- B.E / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University. M.E/M. Tech desirable.
- 10 years of experience in industrial infrastructure and water and/or wastewater engineering
Required competencies:
- Experience with wastewater, facility infrastructure design and other planning, design, and construction engineering activities
- Experience with AutoCAD, BIM 360, and/or Primavera scheduling software a plus
- Ability to prepare and check general specifications, mechanical specifications, contract documents etc.
- Experience in reviewing of P&ID drawings related to the water and wastewater treatment process.
- Possess strong technical background and capability to design raw and potable water pumping station, sewage pumping stations, particularly in association with pumps and associated piping, preparation of pump curve, selection of pumps, air blowers, chlorination equipment building services,
- Exposure to piping standards for ductile iron and/or steel large diameter pipes and drafting material specification is a must
- Knowledge of international codes, standards and practices related to UK/Middle East/ USA water industry is preferable.
- Experience within a consultancy environment specifically in the water/wastewater industry will be preferred
- Must have previously worked during various phases of the project cycle from feasibility to commissioning of water/wastewater pumping station and treatment plants
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language, with good report writing, analytical and computer skills.
