The Role
We're looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer (React + Python), who's equally comfortable architecting backend systems and crafting polished front-end experiences. You'll work on a product that sits at the intersection of AI, research, and human psychology, touching everything from real-time data pipelines to the interfaces researchers use every day.
This isn't a role where you'll be handed a spec and told to execute. You'll help shape how we build.
What You'll Do

• Build and maintain responsive, high-performance web applications using modern front-end frameworks - with a strong eye for usability, accessibility, and polish
• Design and scale backend systems using Python, AWS, and NoSQL databases that hold up as our product grows
• Define and own architectural decisions, setting the bar for coding standards and best practices across the team
• Build and refine RESTful APIs and microservices, and work with cloud-native and serverless architectures on AWS
• Leverage API Gateways and smart API management patterns to keep our integrations clean and reliable
• Mentor engineers around you - sharing context, unblocking challenges, and raising the overall quality of the team's work
• Write technical documentation that actually gets read and used

What We're Looking For

• 3-6 years of professional fullstack development experience
• Strong command of the modern JavaScript ecosystem — React, TypeScript, Material-UI, Webpack, ESLint, Jest
• Backend experience in Python, Java, or Node.js, with solid understanding of microservices, SOA, and REST APIs (we work primarily in Python, so comfort there matters)
• Fluency in OOP and functional programming, clean code principles, and React design patterns
• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases — Postgres, MySQL, Elasticsearch
• Cloud platform experience, ideally AWS or Azure
• Experience building scalable products in fast-moving environments
• Comfort with Agile methodologies and iterative delivery
