Senior Google Cloud Architect

What success looks like in this role:

Senior Google Cloud Architect will be responsible to

• Develop comprehensive cloud architecture solutions on Google Cloud Platform, considering factors such as scalability, reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
• Work with Rest of the Leadership to Develop a Service offerings and Technology adoption roadmap based on GCP.
• Design robust and scalable cloud-native applications and infrastructure, adhering to industry best practices and architectural principles.
• Lead the implementation of cloud solutions, including provisioning of GCP resources, deployment of applications, and configuration of networking and security settings.
• Work closely with development teams to integrate cloud services into application architectures, ensuring seamless interoperability and performance.
• Conduct performance analysis and optimization of cloud infrastructure, identifying opportunities for enhancing efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Implement automation and orchestration solutions to streamline deployment processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Define and implement robust security controls and compliance measures within the GCP environment, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits, addressing any identified vulnerabilities or gaps in security posture.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on Google Cloud Platform, providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to drive consensus on technical decisions and strategies.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in cloud computing, particularly within the Google Cloud ecosystem.
• Explore and evaluate new GCP services and features, assessing their potential value and applicability to organizational requirements.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• Master’s Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 12 years of relevant IT implementation experience.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform, with a strong understanding of GCP services and capabilities.
• Proven track record of architecting and deploying scalable, highly available cloud-based systems in production environments.
• Proficiency in cloud automation and orchestration tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
• Deep understanding of cloud security principles and best practices, with hands-on experience implementing security controls and compliance measures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive resolution.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Architecting/implementing solutions using cloud-native technologies
• Proficiency with at least one programming language such as Python, Go, Java
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools
• Hands-on skills with Infrastructure as Code tool such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, ARM Templates
• Familiarity with good coding practices and remediation of vulnerabilities from SAST and DAST scans
• Knowledge of current industry coding standards, tools and best practices
