Senior Java Developer (Azure Cloud & Search Platforms)

Project description We are looking for a Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in cloud-native application development, microservices architecture, and Azure infrastructure. The role involves designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-scale applications deployed on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), with a focus on scalability, reliability, observability, and search-driven solutions. Experience with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, search & indexing platforms, and Microsoft Purview is highly desirable. Responsibilities Design and develop scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot. Build and maintain cloud-native microservices on Azure and AKS. Develop REST APIs and event-driven solutions leveraging Kafka. Implement and optimize search, indexing, and retrieval capabilities using OpenSearch/Elasticsearch. Collaborate with architects and product teams on solution design and implementation. Drive CI/CD, automation, monitoring, and operational excellence. Ensure application security, performance, and reliability in production environments. Skills Must have 6+ years of software development experience, Java 11+/17+, Spring Boot, REST APIs 3+ years building Microservices and Cloud-native applications Hands-on AKS and Azure platform experience Experience delivering enterprise-scale applications Azure Cloud Services Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Kubernetes, Docker Apache Kafka / Event-Driven Architecture SQL & NoSQL Databases Git, GitLab, CI/CD Pipelines Strong understanding of Distributed Systems and Cloud-Native Design Patterns Nice to have OpenSearch / Elasticsearch Search & Indexing Architecture Microsoft Purview Data Governance and Compliance Solutions Azure Monitor, Grafana, Prometheus OAuth2, JWT, Entra ID / Azure AD Observability and Performance Engineering Financial Services Compliance & Surveillance Platforms Archiving & Monitoring Solutions Large-scale Data Processing and Search Platforms Other Languages English: C1 Advanced Seniority Senior
