Senior Principal Designer - Offshore (Electrical)

1. A high standard quality of work with respect to design deliverables.
2. Administrative support to Project lead electrical engineer in respect of:

• Set up and management of document (drawing) control system (DMS)
• Drawing production schedule planning (set-up and control)
• Design budget management
• Manpower planning
• Assist as necessary with respect to department needs.
• Provide technical support, e.g. prepare Technical Work Practices (TWP’s)
• Provide developmental guidance and mentoring to others
• Carry out technical cold eyes reviews and studies as required
• Prepare Design Alerts on issues raised during engineering.
• Carry out design technical Audits on projects if asked

1. Leadership of large design teams in a multi-discipline project environment, to produce deliverables on schedule, of the correct quality and technical content.
2. Presentation and coordination of electrical design issues at various forums including model reviews, technical coordination meetings, procurement/vendor meetings and design audit reviews.
3. Raise technical and execution issues to the Deputy Manager and Chief Specialist within the department for resolution.
