Description

Cat Motor Graders is looking for an India Cost Lead (internally known as Senior Project Coordinator) to lead End-to End (E2E) cost reduction initiatives. This position will work closely with the Motor Grader Cost Team, which is responsible for product costs for the worldwide Motor Grader Product line. If you are looking for a challenging role with a high impact to the Motor Grader business, this is a great opportunity to utilize technical, business, and communication skills in a project leadership role.

As Cost Lead, you will be responsible for closely monitoring cost, identifying opportunities, and leading projects focused on E2E product cost reduction related to our component supply base in India and prime product supplied to the India market.  This involves collaborating with the global extended Motor Grader team including business resources, engineering, manufacturing, commercial and supply chain. 

What You Will Do:

• First point of contact for Quarterly Product Cost Monitor Process for the Motor Grader components related to India.
• Monitor the current state of our product costs for models sold to the India market, our line of sight to achieve targets, and the actions in-process to achieve our cost goals.
• Lead projects & programs to achieve E2E competitive cost structure goals, closing the gap to target.
• Leading and managing project portfolios to achieve measurable cost process improvements.
• Employing Low Cost Producer (LCP) methodology into organizational operations to meet business goals and objectives.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in product cost inputs, accounting methodologies and tracking metrics.
• Relevant work experience in one or more functions including product, system, or component design, manufacturing or purchasing.
• Must be skilled in data analysis using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, etc.
• Assists in detailed project plans including cost, schedule, and resource requirements.
• Incumbent must clearly demonstrate the ability to understand and articulate product cost goals and initiatives.
• Strong leadership and influencing skills to work with people from many different backgrounds, cultures and levels within the organization.
• Strong listening and communication skills essential to convey the value to execute and sustain product cost leadership.

Additional Information

• Location: Chennai (min 3 days onsite per week)
• This position requires up to 10% travel, domestic and international
• Domestic relocation is available to those who qualify
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this role
• ISE is not available for this role
