Join Amazon Pharmacy's ambitious mission to build a next-generation Pharmacy fulfillment technology that is reshaping healthcare delivery. Build the AI-powered fulfillment platform that ensures millions of prescriptions reach patients safely. As an SDE3 on Amazon Pharmacy's brand new Fulfillment WMS team, you'll own the full-stack platform layer from operator-facing React micro-frontends to backend distributed services to CDK infrastructure that pharmacists and technicians rely on across 40+ fulfillment sites nationwide.
This isn't a single-service role. You'll architect reusable platform constructs adopted by the entire org, build AI agent frameworks (MCP-based) that give operators real-time operational intelligence, modernize legacy systems toward autonomous pharmacy fulfillment, and drive engineering excellence across security, resilience, and deployment automation. Your code will directly reduce medication errors, accelerate delivery speed, and eliminate millions in operational cost.
The ideal candidate is a platform thinker who builds for scale. Someone who designs reusable constructs that entire organizations adopt, architects AI agents that operate within strict PHI and HIPAA compliance boundaries, and drives toward zero-touch fulfillment operations where intelligent systems detect, diagnose, and resolve issues before operators are even aware. You bring a vision for agentic frameworks that transform pharmacy operations from reactive manual intervention to proactive autonomous orchestration, and the execution chops to ship that vision as production systems that pharmacists and operators trust with patient safety every day.
Amazon Pharmacy is the fastest-growing segment of Amazon Health, combining Amazon's customer obsession with pharmacy-grade precision. You'll work in a fast-evolving environment where we're building cutting-edge automation and AI-powered solutions to transform fulfillment operations at scale. Your platform work will be the foundation that makes all of it possible. If you want to build at the intersection of healthcare, AI, and systems engineering with direct patient safety impact we want to talk to you.
