Job Summary



We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with 5-8 years of experience in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Database technologies, Performance Tuning, and Performance Engineering practices. The role requires hands-on experience in identifying performance bottlenecks, improving application scalability, and ensuring high availability of mission-critical systems.



Key Responsibilities



  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Define and implement performance engineering strategies throughout the SDLC.
  • Conduct performance analysis, benchmarking, load testing, stress testing, and capacity planning.
  • Identify and resolve application, database, JVM, and infrastructure performance bottlenecks.
  • Optimize application performance through code profiling, memory management, caching, and query tuning.
  • Analyze system metrics, logs, thread dumps, heap dumps, and GC logs to troubleshoot performance issues.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and architecture teams to ensure performance requirements are met.
  • Establish performance baselines, SLAs, and monitoring frameworks.
  • Drive continuous improvements in system scalability, resiliency, and reliability.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote performance engineering best practices across teams.

Core Technologies



  • 5-8 years of software development experience.
  • Strong expertise in Java (8/11/17+) and Spring Boot.
  • Good understanding of Microservices Architecture.
  • Experience with REST APIs and distributed systems.

Performance Engineering



  • Hands-on experience with:

  • JVM Tuning and Garbage Collection analysis.
  • Heap Dump, Thread Dump, GC Log analysis.
  • Memory Leak detection and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Application profiling and optimization.
  • Caching techniques (Redis, Hazelcast, Ehcache).

Database Expertise



  • Strong experience in SQL and Database Performance Tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Oracle
    • PostgreSQL
    • MySQL
    • SQL Server
  • Query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and execution plan analysis.

Monitoring & Observability



  • Knowledge of:
    • Prometheus
    • Grafana
    • ELK Stack
    • Splunk
    • OpenTelemetry

DevOps & Cloud



  • Experience with:
    • Docker
    • Kubernetes
    • CI/CD Pipelines
    • Jenkins/GitHub Actions
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is preferred.

Qualifications



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Performance Engineering or Java certifications are an added advantage.

Preferred Skills



  • Experience in high-volume transaction processing systems.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architectures (Kafka).
  • Experience with distributed caching and cloud-native architectures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
