About our Team


As Technical Analyst in Level 2 support, you will be part of Digital Products Global Technical Support Centre in Chennai. Our department is composed of Engineering and Technical support where we each contribute multiple projects and customers Globally. Even though we are based in Chennai, there will be travel to our customer place whenever is required. Our stakeholders are Process Control / Product control Commissioning, Engineering, Digital smart products (IIOT) colleagues, culturally diverse atmosphere.


Role:


You will be part of our 24x7 Global Plantline Service Technical Support Team and Managing the direct day-to-day requests received from various customers and internal stake holders related to FLSmidth Digital products (Automation Technologies).


Your responsibilities


  • Provide technical support to customer and ensure timely response to issues with proper resolution within defined Service Level Agreement (SLA) time meeting customer satisfaction.
  • Passionate to support customers 24x7 as per shift roaster, it includes night shift.
  • Daily tracking and follow-up with customer, short training to customer during remote support on new features.
  • Collaborate internally with R&D & next level support teams and cross functional teams to resolve the issue.
  • Carryout Remote Software Maintenance as per schedules. Generating sales leads and providing technical assistance to Digital products regional sales team.
  • Visiting customer sites to carryout Preventive maintenance, Emergency visit, short commissioning support with short notice.
  • Availability to travel in India and abroad approximate 20 to 30% per annum.

What you bring


  • 6 to 8 years of solid experience in Industrial Automation Control System in any process plants, Cement / Mining plant working is plus.
  • Hands-on experience in FLSmidth Digital products ECS (Version 7 / 8) and ACESYS standards preferred.
  • Experience in solving PLC hardware, Intelligent MCC & software problems, knowledge in languages LAD, FBD, STL, ST, SFC from major brands Rockwell / Siemens / Schneider / ABB.
  • Experience in troubleshooting industrial communication protocols PROFIBUS, DEVICE NET, CONTROL NET MODBUS, ETHERNET TCP/IP, PROFI NET, HART, PROFIBUS-PA must, additional protocols are plus.
  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot the Ethernet networks issues. Knowledge on Segmentation, VLAN concepts etc.
  • Knowledge about OT Security, ISA / IEC62443 standard, VM Ware virtualization is a plus.
  • Experience in configuration and troubleshooting network switches like Siemens, Cisco, Dell.
  • Experience in Firewall configuration and troubleshooting, cisco & SonicWALL is a plus.
  • Ability to understand issues through email, phone and remote support chat and acknowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in rapidly changing environments.
  • Experience in latest Windows operating system to manage the servers, client station.
  • Should be a team player with collaborative skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Education Qualification


  • Bachelor / Diploma engineering in Electrical / Electronics & Communication / Instrumentation.
  • Training or Certifications in OT Security, Networking related courses is a plus.
