Job description

TimeHub team's charter is to build a world-class product which meets time, attendance and pay computation needs for over 2 Million hourly associates across Amazon businesses. People Technology is the central hub for all Amazon people data. Our product and technology provides the foundation for a multitude of key human resource processes, from on-boarding of tens of thousands of temporary employees during peak holiday season, capturing time-related events across an associate's day to day activities, to integrating critical employee data to internal and external systems. We implement and build highly secure, global software that allows Amazon to effectively manage the workforce, resulting in a better employee experience and a better bottom line.
Key job responsibilities
* Work closely with stakeholders, software engineers and product teams to deliver high quality and scalable products deployed around the world.
* Spearhead the strategy, development, and implementation of Amazon's own timekeeping solution.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and user experience in time and attendance management.
* Lead complex, multi-faceted technical programs from conception to launch, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility.
* Drive the adoption of time management solutions among HR professionals, people managers, employee service teams, and associates across global Amazon sites.
* Collaborate with the product teams to deliver the best product with most efficient use of resources and technologies.
* Assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints and encourage risk taking behavior to maximize business benefit.
* Understand the micro-service architecture of Timehub products.
* Work with business and product teams to understand the business requirements and use cases.
* Work closely with principal and senior engineers to define the end to end solution, drive prioritization and planning across internal development teams, work with product managers and QA to validate the solution, and launch the solution to end customers.
* Drive the projects through its lifecycle until successful deployment in pilot and later expansion across full region.
* Manage stakeholder and leadership communication and provide updates to broad stakeholder and executive teams.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will be pivotal in driving innovative solutions to revolutionize our timekeeping systems and processes. We're excited to work with someone who brings a strong technical background, a temperament for being detail-driven, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering
