Senior Windows System Administrator

What success looks like in this role:

• 6 to 8 years of experience in Windows Systems Administration

  
  

• Support large computer configurations under design in the Unisys data centers.

  
  

• Able to provide security and optimization ideas.

  
  

• Manage servers (physical and virtual) across various environments and nature. Detailed knowledge of Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance.

  
  

• Good hands-on experience in diagnostics & troubleshooting of Windows operating systems, ESXi & vCenter server environments.

  
  

• Good hands-on experience in automation/scripting PowerShell/python/etc.

  
  

• Knowledge on maintaining and managing SQL DB, cluster configurations, windows protocols and services.

  
  

• In depth knowledge on patch management, vulnerability management. and networks (including LAN and WAN)

  
  

• Good hands-on system deployments upgrades, migration, user access management, advanced troubleshooting including networks (including LAN and WAN).

  
  

• Hands-on experience on HA & DRS. [High Availability & Distributed Resource Scheduling]

  
  

• P2V, V2V, V2P migration knowledge.

  
  

• Strong knowledge on various Windows Operating System and Active Directory concepts

  
  

• Good Understanding on DNS, DHCP, WINS

  
  

• Windows Clustering and troubleshooting

  
  

• Hardware knowledge on Dell server products

  
  

• Experience in handling SRM

  
  

• Ability to quickly analyses & diagnose technical problems (RCA)

  
  

• The individual who is a self-starter and drive end-to-end delivery, handle projects with less supervision.

  
  

• The Analyst will work with a team to support the Microsoft Windows Server and virtual environment of the customer account.

  
  

Additional skills:

• Candidate with VMware knowledge along with Windows Experience, Experience of managing large ESXi hosts, configuration,

  
  

• Virtual Center & vSphere

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• 6+ years hands-on Systems Administration/Analyst of Windows, VMware(optional), networking and troubleshooting experience.

  
  

• Education & Certifications - Bachelor's degree (B.E/BTech, MCA)/VMware 6.x/7.x Certification/MCP/MSCA/MCSE

  
  

• 2+ years of Automation - Python, PowerShell, etc.

  
  

• Basic knowledge on Azure platform and server builds (Iaas)

  
  

• Independently generates solutions based on analytical, technical skills and business knowledge.

  
  

• Able to pick up new technologies and offer solution as per the need.

  
  

• Able to collaborate effectively with Global teams, end users and inter-teams.

  
  

• Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and presentation skills.

  
  

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve technical issues.

  
  

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, which will be key in driving customer and internal communications with all key stakeholders.
