We are now looking for a Specialist Developer to strengthen the Alerts Engine team in Bangalore. You will be responsible for providing technical solution which also aligns with functional business flows in the Nasdaq Trade Surveillance portfolio of Software Products and Software Services for Market Post trade compliance and New Markets.

Join the development organization for Nasdaq Trade Surveillance. The main objective for the development and quality team in Bangalore is to build state of the art surveillance software for brokers and financial organizations. As our new member, you will work with a group of enthusiastic and experienced team members. Together with your team, you will be responsible for delivery  enhancements and supporting rearchitected of the enterprise product to new software paradigms.

Your roles and responsibilities include:


You will contribute to cross-functional teams across the globe, delivering critical solutions and services to world-leading and award winning Trading Surveillance Products . You will be responsible for significant technical deliverables and internal stakeholder interaction and cross functional team interaction . 


Furthermore, you will:


  • Design, develop, server debugging, troubleshoot and implement software for Nasdaq Trade Surveillance team.
  • A strong communicator in both written and oral, combined with a self-motivated attitude.
  • Back-end development experience (not limited to web based only) dealing with large data sets, data manipulation/sorting/merging, complex data structures. Logical Analysis of data.
  • Take high-level architecture and design models from architects and implement them through detailed design and code.
  • Participate in technical design reviews, functional specification reviews, develop project estimates, schedules, test plans, and code reviews.
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential problems/issues including authoring of technical specifications.
  • Conduct performance testing, review results, identify bottlenecks, and profile code.

We expect you to have :


  • Minimum of 5-8 years of software development experience in Java backend with at least 2 years experience in working within the capital markets ecosystem with a good understanding of trading data.
  • Should have at least 2 years of experience with heavy file processing system.
  • Must have worked on Java, Spring ,BDD, Linux and Bash environment.
  • Expertise on Tomcat Applications Server.
  • Understanding of SAAS platforms, private cloud architecture is a plus.
  • Performance tuning and debugging of large data processing application.
  • Knack of adhering to best design practices.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, Confluence, JIRA, IntelliJ.
  • Analysis of Jenkins Jobs or pipelines.
  • Education Qualification: Bachelor/Master in computer science.

  • Experience with Financial Markets
  • Knowledge of AWS is a plus
