Who You Will Work With


You’ll be part of a cross-functional team of engineers, business stakeholders, and product owners. You’ll also collaborate with stakeholders across Legal, Compliance, and Enterprise Platforms to deliver solutions that are secure, scalable, and aligned with Nike’s digital strategy.


Who We Are Looking For


We’re looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer II to build and scale web applications and data-driven services for the Office of the General Counsel. You’ll work across front-end and back-end systems, collaborate closely with product and business partners, and help the team ship secure, reliable solutions with strong engineering fundamentals.


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience


  • 5+ years of professional software development experience building and supporting web applications


  • 3+ years building front-end applications with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript (plus HTML/CSS fundamentals)


  • 3+ years building back-end services and REST APIs in Python (experience with FastAPI or similar frameworks)


  • Hands-on experience with Databricks and/or Snowflake (data processing, data services, or analytics workloads)


  • Experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MS SQL Server)


  • Hands-on experience deploying and operating applications on AWS (or another major cloud provider)


  • Familiarity with containers (e.g., Docker) and CI/CD concepts; comfortable working within established pipelines (e.g., Jenkins/GitHub Actions)


  • Experience collaborating with product and business stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment


  • Comfort using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) responsibly and in line with team guidance


Nice-to-Have Skills:


  • Familiarity with orchestration and messaging (e.g., Apache Airflow, Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ)


  • Exposure to BI/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Databricks Dashboards)


  • Exposure to Generative AI and LLM-based applications


  • Familiarity with Salesforce development and/or Salesforce APIs


  • Prior experience in the Legal domain or working with legal/compliance systems


  • Familiarity with MLOps or deploying ML models in production

What You Will Work On


As a Full Stack Software Engineer II, you will:


  • Contribute to design discussions and help translate solution designs into well-scoped stories and tasks


  • Build and maintain user-facing features using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript


  • Develop and document REST APIs (contracts/specs in Confluence) and implement services in Python using FastAPI


  • Develop data services and integrations using SQL, PostgreSQL, and platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake (e.g., batch and event-driven patterns).


  • Design and query relational data using SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL) and follow secure data-handling practices


  • Develop, deploy, and operate services on AWS using established team patterns for logging, monitoring, and CI/CD


  • Write tests, participate in GitHub code reviews, and improve code quality, performance, and maintainability


  • Collaborate with platform, security, and data teams to integrate with downstream systems (you won’t be expected to own the data platform)
