Software QA Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing both automated and performance test suites. They will be working on large applications to ensure performance, scale effectively and function accurately. This role combines responsibilities for both load and performance testing with test automation and continuous integration. 

Key Responsibilities:


  • Design, implement, and execute both automated and performance test suites for large applications to ensure they perform efficiently, scale effectively, and function accurately. 
  • Develop, script, and execute load, stress, and scalability tests using tools such as JMeter and K6. 
  • Create and maintain automated test scripts for functional and regression testing using tools like Selenium and Playwright. 
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate new features and functionalities to ensure the automation processes are effective and up to date. 
  • Maintain and update automation scripts as needed. 
  • Design automation frameworks and integrate performance tests into automated tests. 
  • Collaborate with team members, developers, DevOps, and IT to ensure seamless integration of testing and automation processes and to measure stability and performance. 
  • Document test cases, test scripts, processes, and results, highlighting metrics such as response time, throughput, and error rates. 
  • Provide training and guidance to other team members. 
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate performance tests. 
  • Identify gaps in performance and stability, and work on resolutions. 

Required Skills & Expertise:


  • Post-secondary degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience. 
  • 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including hands-on experience in automation and performance testing. 
  • Proficient in performance testing tools like JMeter and K6. 
  • Excellent scripting and coding skills in languages like Java and JavaScript. 
  • Previous experience working with functional testing tools like Playwright and Selenium. 
  • Skilled in frameworks such as PRISM and Webdriver IO. 
  • Proficient in using API tools like POSTMAN. 
  • Strong knowledge of SQL. 
  • Familiarity with TestNG, Mocha, Chai, Wdio, POM, Node.js, and Babel.
