This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 1000000 - Rs 1500000 (ie INR 10-15 LPA) Min Experience: 1+ years Location: India JobType: full-time We are looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Test Engineer with 1–2 years of experience in software testing to join our growing technology team.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of software quality assurance processes, testing methodologies, and automation concepts.
Exposure to Cypress automation testing is considered a strong advantage.
As a Test Engineer, you will work closely with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities Understand business and functional requirements to create effective test strategies and test cases.

Collaborate with development teams to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
Participate in sprint planning, requirement analysis, and daily stand-up meetings in Agile environments.
Assist in maintaining test documentation, test reports, and quality metrics.
Contribute to automation testing initiatives using Cypress wherever applicable.
Ensure software releases meet quality standards and user expectations.
Continuously learn and adopt modern QA tools, frameworks, and best practices.
Required Skills 1–2 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
Good understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
Knowledge of manual testing concepts including functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing.
Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools.
Basic understanding of API testing and database validation is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks effectively.
Good-to-Have Skills Hands-on exposure to Cypress automation testing.
Understanding of JavaScript basics for writing and maintaining automation scripts.
Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows is an added advantage.
Educational Qualification Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
