Role Summary:



The Software Test Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) applications through effective test planning, automation, and execution. This role focuses on developing and maintaining automated test solutions, supporting QA processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver stable and scalable ERP solutions.



What You Will Do:



Quality Engineering & Execution:



  • Participate in defining and implementing QA strategies aligned with F&O project needs.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain test cases, test scripts, and regression suites.
  • Support functional, integration, API, and end-to-end testing efforts.
  • Assist in validating batch jobs, workflows, and business processes across F&O modules.

Test Automation:



  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Leap work, Playwright, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
  • Contribute to enhancing automation frameworks for scalability and maintainability.
  • Execute automated regression suites and analyze failures.
  • Support tagging, modularization, and reusability of automation assets.

Defect Management:



  • Identify, log, and track defects using standard tools.
  • Participate in defect triage discussions and root cause analysis.
  • Retest fixes and ensure closure of defects with proper validation.

Collaboration & Agile Practices:



  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and functional teams to understand requirements.
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
  • Support UAT cycles and assist stakeholders in validation activities.

CI/CD & DevOps Support:



  • Execute automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub).
  • Support build validation and release testing activities.
  • Assist in maintaining test environments and test data setup.

Reporting & Documentation:



  • Maintain QA artifacts including test cases, execution reports, and defect logs.
  • Provide updates on test progress, quality metrics, and risks.
  • Ensure proper documentation of test scenarios and automation scripts.

What You Will Have:



Technical Skills:



  • Familiarity with automation tools such as Leapwork, Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, or Robot Framework.
  • Basic programming knowledge in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
  • Understanding of automation frameworks such as Page Object Model (POM) or BDD (Cucumber).
  • Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Swagger, or similar).
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

Domain Knowledge:



  • Basic understanding of Dynamics 365 F&O modules (Finance, Supply Chain, or Project Operations) is preferred.

Soft Skills:



  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work in Agile and team-oriented environments.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with ERP or enterprise applications testing.
  • Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter (basic knowledge).
  • Understanding data validation, integration testing, or data migration testing.
  • Experience in test automation within cloud-based environments.

Experience:



  • 4–7 years of experience in software testing, with at least 2–3 years in automation.

Certifications (Optional):



  • ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
  • Basic understanding of Dynamics 365 certifications (MB-310 / MB-320 / MB-330).
