As a Solution Owner, MDA, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance and efficiency of PDM tools, meeting business needs. Your role involves implementing tool releases, supporting R&D, and actively seeking cost-saving initiatives through automation and process improvements. With excellent debugging skills and a proactive mindset, you will contribute to the enhancement of PDM applications.


  • Working with R&D of our business divisions to determine possible improvements and their yearly enhancement needs. Ensuring understanding of scope & item content and their implications on the end-to-end processes (including costs)
  • Planning & executing yearly efforts to meet those needs and agreed upon improvements. This includes migration/upgrade of Windchill PDMLink.
  • Validating technology assumptions and evaluating alternatives, working closely with the business and technical delivery owners and support teams.
  • To succeed in this role demands close co-operation with relevant IT and R&D teams and the tool software vendors.

Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for the performance and efficiency of PDM tools to meet business requirements.
  • Implement tool and process releases, and manage R&D requests.
  • Support and enhance PDM applications for research and development purposes.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures through automation and process improvements.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues with strong analytical skills and a proactive learning approach.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth tool integration and collaboration.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in PDM and related fields.
  • Document and communicate tool-related processes and best practices to stakeholders.
  • Provide training and support to users on PDM tools and their effective utilization.

Qualifications:
  • BE/BTech/BCA/BSc/MCA or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in installing, administering, upgrade, migration and configuring Windchill.
  • In-depth knowledge of Windchill PDMLink and ProjectLink, and their cross-collaboration with other applications.
  • Expertise in automating and scripting for Windows and Linux environments, particularly with PTC tools.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Java (Core + Windchill APIs), JavaScript, JSP, and REST API development.
  • Experience with Windchill customization, including listeners, data utilities, validators, workflow customization, form processors, and schedulers/queue jobs.
  • Familiarity with databases and tools such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL.
  • Basic understanding of Enovia and Teamcenter is preferred.
  • Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive and analytical mindset.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
