Job Title: Sr Spec, IT-Resource Mgmt
Location: Bangalore
Job Responsibilities
- Understand the availability and allocation of project team members for all IT projects
- Help establish and refine metrics, surveys related to resource management
- Oversight and analysis of workforce staffing with established KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), identifying areas of transformation and continuous improvement
- Leading of staffing related functions within ServiceNow SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management)
- Maintain accurate resource data, driving data quality assurance and control methods
- Partner with demand and portfolio managers to determine and maintain current resource availability to support projects. Understand resource skills, levels of expertise, and their role in the company and department to assist with resource leveling
- Partner with Project/Program managers and Functional managers to help resolve resource over-allocations and conflicts
- Support project lifecycle processes to ensure projects and programs are sufficiently staffed
- Provide resource allocation/forecast/capacity reports and dashboards that will aid business leaders to strategically plan project and program execution
- Collaborate with key stake holders to help develop future staffing and project resourcing plans
- Support project resourcing management tools, assist in the management of the ServiceNow SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management) tool features and functionality including future functionality opportunities and requirements
- Develop and deliver effective resource management processes and training
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 5-7+ years of experience in IT operations, projects, or development with management, coordination, or individual contributor experience
- 2-4 years of experience with ServiceNow SPM or similar toolset
- Advanced experience in reporting and analytics
- Experience managing/working on Agile projects
- Experience working with a wide range of personnel including business sponsors, product owners, functional managers, development teams, demand managers, portfolio managers
- Advanced level experience in Microsoft Office 365 including PowerPoint, Excel and Sharepoint
- Strong communication and organizational skills in a global/cross-functional organization
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is a plus
- CSM Scrum / SAFE Certification is a plus
- Experience with technical program/project management and areas spanning Infrastructure, Security, Application development and ERP Implementations.
- Analytical and problem-solving experience, exposure to large-scale systems and knowledge and experience in technical development in an enterprise setting
