As a Tech Writer here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement documentation standards, processes, and best practices. Your expertise in technical writing principles, style guides, and industry standards will ensure consistency and adherence to quality guidelines. You will also review and edit technical documents for clarity, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines.


In this role, you will impact documentation quality, team performance, cross-functional collaboration, process efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement.

  • Plan and write installation, planning, configuration, troubleshooting, and operational content.
  • Facilitate meetings with subject matter experts to gather technical information, then transform this into high quality documentation for the intended audience.
  • Lead content reviews and participate in reviews of content developed by team members.
  • Ensure consistency in the written style across all documents.

Qualifications:

Professional Skills / Knowledge


  • Technical writing in a Software Development environment. (essential)
  • Experience working in an agile software development process (preferred).
  • MadCap Flare (essential)
  • Agile tools, such as Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket (preferred)
  • Understanding of structured authoring using HTML or XML (preferred).
  • Experience working with Style guides and writing content that conforms to agreed styles.
