Job Title: Technical Lead Engineer
Division: Weir Minerals
Location: EnSci - Bengaluru
Onsite/Hybrid
Purpose of Role:The position desires the individual to have expertise in providing technical solutions of the Vibrating Screens and candidate should have good Machine Design experience and knowledge to design mineral processing equipment (Vibrating Screen preferred) with a good competency and design intent. Experienced in the assembly and component level of products considering all aspects of form, fit and function of the system.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture. Always safety first.


  • Compliance with all defined Roles, Responsibilities and Accountabilities (RRAs) as documented by the Screen Technology Group.


  • Contribution to the development of a portfolio of NPD / VAVE projects for vibrating screens


  • Knowledge and experience to manage the new product development, product design (using principles of design for manufacturing and value engineering), testing and verification of the assigned new product development activity.


  • Working knowledge required of CAD/CAM software, 3D modelling, 2D detailing, stress analysis and other standard engineering design center functions.


  • Applying project management disciplines within an engineering environment


  • Ensure our customers receive world class engineering support, documentation, and service with a requisite sense of urgency to meet customer expectations and commitments


  • Implement procedures and systems that will ensure protection for Weir Minerals’ intellectual property and deter replications


  • Promote and maintain a flexible, cooperative, team oriented, and customer focused attitude within and between departments.


  • Comply with all departmental and company policies, procedures, and programs.


Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 12–15 years of work experience in mining industry or heavy fabrication industry.


  • High level of competency, to include but not be limited to, the use of the following engineering tools.
    a. Siemens Teamcenter
    b. Autodesk Inventor


  • High level of competency in the creation and augmentation of complex 3D machine design solutions


  • Ability to check drawings and complex assemblies of Vibrating Screens.


  • Well verse with GD&T, machining & welding symbols to be depicted in the manufacturing drawings.
